The Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity and Computer Networks is a specialized undergraduate program designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding necessary to protect digital systems and secure information infrastructure in an increasingly connected world. The program integrates core principles of cybersecurity, network architecture, ethical hacking, and digital forensics, with hands-on experience in configuring, managing, and defending modern network environments.
This course prepares students to understand and address today’s most pressing information security challenges, including cyber threats, data breaches, malware attacks, network vulnerabilities, and system intrusions. Students are trained to design and implement secure network architectures, apply intrusion detection and prevention techniques, manage firewalls and encryption protocols, and respond to security incidents using industry best practices and tools.
The curriculum combines theoretical instruction with practical laboratory work, simulation environments, and case studies to reflect real-world scenarios. Emphasis is placed on regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and the development of cyber defense strategies in both organizational and critical infrastructure contexts.
Graduates will be proficient in:
Network design and administration using tools such as Cisco, Linux, and Windows Server environments.
Cybersecurity operations including threat detection, vulnerability assessment, and incident response.
Implementation of security protocols, cryptographic systems, and access control models.
Digital forensics investigation and reporting techniques.
Compliance with information security standards such as ISO/IEC 27001, GDPR, and NIST frameworks.
The program aims to produce competent cybersecurity and network professionals ready to serve in high-demand roles such as:
Cybersecurity Analyst
Network Administrator
Security Operations Center (SOC) Specialist
Penetration Tester (Ethical Hacker)
IT Risk Auditor
Systems Security Engineer
Digital Forensics Examiner
This degree also provides a strong foundation for professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker), Cisco CCNA Security, and CISSP, as well as for further studies in cybersecurity, information assurance, or network engineering at the postgraduate level.
Face-to-Face (On-Campus)
The program is delivered through traditional, in-person classroom learning. It includes lectures, seminars, lab-based practical sessions, tutorials, and face-to-face supervision. Attendance on campus is required throughout the duration of the course.
