Welcome Message from the Dean

The School of Science and Computing is strategically positioned to advance South Eastern Kenya University’s (SEKU) mission of advancing Teaching, Research, and Innovation in Dryland Agriculture, Water Resources, Mining and Environmental Conservation. To achieve this objective, the school continually develops, reviews and offers relevant academic programs  that align with its diverse areas of specialization. To run her activities are qualified staff who provide rigorous training to students and scientific exposure, contributing significantly to the realization of Kenya’s Vision 2030.

The school boasts several key physical facilities, including four ultra-modern laboratories designed for both training and research purposes. These include fully equipped Molecular Biology, biology, and computer laboratories. The school also houses a state-of-the-art Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS), which supports advanced analytical research.
